Use the right words to tell your story, and you’ll snare an audience that hangs on every sentence.
Use the wrong words, and you’ll be met with an apathetic ‘eh’.
Apathy is our enemy. The right words are our weapon against this.
Use your words wisely, and you'll quell confusion, conflict, and banish abandoned checkouts. Not with force, but with persuasive impact that creates an immersive, enjoyable experience.
Yes, words are a weapon, but they're infused with romance too.
Who am I?
I'm Camilla Peffer, a Melbourne copywriter.
Having worked as a copywriting since 2011, my expertise is vast and spans across a variety of sectors, namely the fashion and lifestyle industries.
My skills lie within SEO copywriting, fashion copywriting, content marketing, email marketing, deciphering Google analytics, and creating content for businesses looking to connect with and convert their audiences - no matter their platform or medium.
I'm a specialist and highly focused in what I do, ensuring my attention and energy is focused on a few specific skill sets. I can't do it all, but I do master what I can do: helping stylish brands and entrepreneurs with prose that turns profits.
Long before Styled & Scripted was launched, I was a part-time journalist, combining my love of fashion, pop culture and music for titles such as Everguide, Yen Magazine, Pages Digital, Studio Magazines, The Vine and Portable Studios. I've interviewed a diverse variety of talent, including Fat Boy Slim, Purity Ring, Shawn Stussy and Emma Mulholland.
After completing my Bachelor of Communications, I then went on to work as a marketing administrator for nation-wide coffee franchise Aroma Cafe. It was there that I learned how to create a community using social media, and work with multiple stakeholders across the country.
I've also held the position of Content Marketing Executive at domain registrar Melbourne IT, as part of a team who developed their brand new website.
After leaving the corporate world, I went on to spend time at #1 Australian publisher Pedestrian.tv as an account manager for Sportsgirl, one of Australia's most-loved retail brands. It was there that I co-managed an online audience of 450,000+, developed a highly successful Instagram strategy, and crafted prose for an audience of fashion-frenzied 20-something females.
Who do I work with?
First and foremost, my passion lies within fashion copywriting for retailers and fashion brands. Yet I regularly work comfortably and confidently with other industries, including real estate, food and wine, and health and wellness.
I work with businesses who are innovative, iconic, embrace change, and they value creative input. They do not do simple. Boring is their enemy.
I call Melbourne home, but many of my clients are located across the globe, including Ireland, the USA, Canada and Singapore.
Is this you?
Perhaps you're a marketing manager at a retail brand, a small business owner, a one-woman-shop, or a talented account manager at an agency. No matter how large your operation is or how long you've been in business, you consider yourself cutting-edge, and strive to be at the forefront of all things fashion, design and technology. You believe that style, substance and sustainability can co-exist, and you're hell-bent on creating a community that supports each other, and adores you and your brand, too.
You've decided it's time to hire a professional and level up against your competitors. You don't want to rely upon your own clouded intuition any longer, and you're eager to put your trust in the hands of someone who's dedicated to helping you refine your message and create an authentic tone-of-voice.
